Mio has coached in the United States for ten years.She was a member of Romanian and Olympic Team from 1987 to 1999 .She earned two silver medals at World Championship,one in 1993(Essen,Germany) and again in 1997 (Cape Town,South Africa).
She was also the Ballkan champion in 1987,1992 and 1994.Mio was member Romanian Olympic Team 1992 (Barcelona,Spain). She was also a finalist in 1995 at the European Championship (Linz,Austria)
Mio received the "Master of Sport" award in 1994 the same year she was awarded the "Merit diploma" for contributions to the development of Romanian Sport .
She has a degree in Physical Education with a major in coaching . Her students have won numerous national medals.
